Background
Carbyne is a public safety technology company transforming how emergency communication centers operate through advanced, real-time data solutions. Its platform allows callers and 911 operators to share live video, location, and contextual information during an emergency—empowering faster, more accurate responses.
Challenge
Many PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points—the local 911 call centers that receive and respond to emergency calls) struggled to explain how Carbyne’s technology works to their communities. Most citizens had never heard of Carbyne, and traditional materials failed to convey the platform’s real-time video and location-sharing capabilities in an engaging, accessible way.
Solution
To bridge this gap, I created a short, customizable motion graphics series called “Click the Link.” Each 1–2 minute video was designed to be distributed by PSAPs to their local audiences, showing exactly what happens when someone calls 911 through the Carbyne platform. Designed in Illustrator and animated in After Effects.
The videos were built using a fully templated motion system—allowing each PSAP to easily localize visuals with their own logo, geography, and color palette while keeping the overall brand consistent. This streamlined production, ensured brand accuracy, and made it simple for agencies nationwide to educate their communities about next-generation 911 technology.
